HPMI Researcher Madhuparna Roy awarded scholarship

HPMI Researcher Madhuparna (Rin) Roy’s essay tied for second place in the Society of Manufacturing Engineers scholarship contest. Her essay "Why is manufacturing education important?" enabled her to receive a $1,000 scholarship from SME.

Last October, the FSU Dissertation Research Grant Committee awarded Rin $1,000 to assist with her dissertation. The selection was made by a faculty committee composed of representatives from schools or colleges that offer doctoral degrees.  This program is funded by the Congress of Graduate Students (COGS), the Office of the Provost, and the Office of Research.
