Smart CIM 2.0 lab currently contains an experimental 3D printer as well as a MakerBot Replicator 2X, and four Lulzbot Taz 6. The experimental printer is used for several material printing applications, including composites and high speed multi-nozzle printing. Research work is being completed on creating a variety of nozzles for different manufacturing applications. The Makerbot and Lulzbots are used for creating composite molds, replacement equipment parts, parts for manufacturing projects, and prototyping. Materials that can be printed using these printers include epoxy, HIPS, ABS, and PLA
